I used to work as a Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher for slightly over two years in Izmir, Turkey until October 2020. My areas of expertise particularly fall into mentally disabled learning and teaching; speech, language and communication difficulties; learning difficuities; challenging behavior management; and other complex and diverse needs. I am experienced in teaching and working with a large and diverse group of persons; inclusive of age groups from three to 45-years old, and both one-to-one and in small groups. Additionally, I am an experienced secondary school mathematics teacher working in various state and private schools, and study centers in Izmir between 2008 and 2016. This complements my experience in SEN teaching, and provides additional academic and personal benefits for learners. I volunteered to provide mathematics, Turkish and English tuition for ethnic and vulnerable children, adolesecent and adults in Edinburgh during my studies to improve my English language skills in 2013. I hold a four-year degree of BA(Honours) in Mentally Disabled Children Teacher Education from Dokuz Eylul University, Izmir, in June 2018; and another four-year degree of BA(Honours) in Mathematics with Major in Pure Mathematics from Ege University, Izmir, in September 2008. Both of my undergraduates are equivalent of the UK BA(Honours), evidenced by the NARIC. I received a Postgraduate Education Certificate in Pedagogic Formation from Dokuz Eylul University in July 2016. I am very much willing to pursue a challenging but promising and rewarding career in the field of SEN learning and teaching, preferably combined with mathematics teaching. It is my belief that my academic, professional and personal background qualifies me to seek such a career development at a prestigious institution.
